Service was quick. It appears to not be heavily used. The person working the front counter was helpful and very knowledgeable.
Lines out the door and understaffed. They also close from 1230-130 so if you have lunch during this time expect to never mail any packages. Now I have to find the nearest FedEx or ups
Extremely mismanaged. Long lines and only one person at counter. Other postal workers are in the back instead of helping customers. Not an isolated incident. This has been going on for over a year.
They are doing the absolute best with the cards they've been dealt. Is there a line most of the time? Yes. Is it hard to get in for a quick mail out during lunch? Yes. But their customer service men and women are ALWAYS kind. I have never met a USPS team (albeit small) with better manners. They're courteous and always willing to help you it when it comes to getting things shipped off-island for cheap. I blame their head office at the airport for their ability to keep more than one desk open at a time. To me, the service is worth the wait. You want quick, hop in your car and deal with the people at HNL, I'd rather have someone smile at me and make sure I've been completely taken care of before screaming "next!"
Great staff, it is small so expect a wait but be assured they will take care to make sure you leave happy.
